Mindful Matters –
S.O.S. (Sense of Self) Toolbox
Introduction
Adulting… ugh, it can be so hard!. If you’re anything like me, you’re often left searching for the “real” adult who can handle life’s daily tasks, tough calls, and challenging situations. We spend most of adulthood trying to figure things out, do what needs to be done, take care of people, places, and things that need to taken care of, and somehow manage to be dressed, ready to go, and on time all day, everyday with a smile on your face!
Life is funny. We turn 18 and are suddenly expected to know things, be resourceful, competent, capable adults who handle life with ease. Yet, most of us are never taught the proper skills, information, and resources to do the job effectively. Some of us are just big kids walking around with adult responsibilities not having any idea of what to do or how to do it.
Problem solving, decision making, conflict resolution, job skills, getting along with others, emotional regulation, time management, prioritization, maturity, social interactions… all of these are expected of you. You watched your parents, siblings, neighbors, friends, teachers, and leaders to try to understand and determine the “right” way to do life. Yet so few of us have been properly guided to develop these skills and understand how to effectively navigate life. Until now…
If you want to feel more capable, empowered, and equipped to deal with life, if you’re eager to learn how to develop these tools and skills, join me for this month’s Mindful Matters. As a Coach and therapist, I’m committed to offering you tools, resources, and a roadmap for real change and improvement.
The S.O.S. Toolbox includes ten dynamic tools designed to help you build inner strength, decisiveness, clarity, and support for all of the adulting tasks you’re expected to do. These tools were developed from the depths of my life struggle and crisis that left me searching for deeper purpose and meaning. It’s an honor to be able to share them with you.
